In the beginning of March I had an impacting dream that shook me deeply.  I know this is going to sound strange but I couldn't remember anything regarding the actual dream but I knew "something big happened and everything had changed".  It was one of those spirit to spirit touching encounters that put a greater urgency in my heart regarding the seriousness  of the hour.

We as SHOP believe the hour is late and our focus is on preparing the Body of Christ for His soon return to establish His Kingdom on Earth.  The more time we spend in prayer, seeking His face and waiting on God, the more we come to know His heart and discern the times and seasons we are living in.  So how do we prepare?  That is a complex question, but we do believe we must start with making Jesus our focus, our love, our desire and our very life.  If our heart is divided we can easily be distracted by many things, be too busy with temporal endeavors, be overburdened by the cares of life and even be deceived into believing lies.  By taking quality time daily to seek to know Jesus intimately, we position ourselves in a place where the Holy Spirit can do the work in our hearts to get us ready by being firmed rooted in Christ.

It is the job of the Holy Spirit to prepare the Bride for the wedding feast, but the Bride must desire, yield and cooperate with Him.  What bride in the natural is not totally consumed, focused and desiring to make herself ready for the day of her wedding and planning for the life shared with her soon to be husband.  Revelation 2:1-7, talks about the church at Ephesus, how industrious, discerning and patient she was....YET....she was rebuked for forsaking her first love.  Remember then from what heights you have fallen...and repent.  The one message we hear from the Lord that runs through all our times of praying for various issues is the message of love.  We must know His love by experience; receive His love; love the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind; learn how to have His love flow through us and genuinely come to love one another.  The fruit of love that is developed in our lives here on earth is the fruit of love we will carry through all of eternity.

We must prepare ourselves by loving His Word in the same way I just talked about loving the Lord.  Jesus is the living Word and as we read, meditate, ponder and talk to Him regarding what He is saying to us, the more revelation we will receive.  Knowing the spirit of truth will protect us from the subtle deceptions of the enemy as he so often twists the word of God to accommodate and pamper our fallen nature.  Obedience to what we know is truth will cause that truth to abide in us, set us free and open more doors of revelation and encounters with the Lord.

We can be wise virgins by keeping our vessels full of fresh oil which is the Holy Spirit, but the Lord is inviting us to go even higher in Him.  Who will stir themselves up in the Lord to stay awake, alert and positioned on the wall to be that voice released in the midnight hour to awaken the sleepy church?  We continually cry out to the Lord to call out the watchmen, intercessors, gatekeepers to take their place on the walls of Saskatchewan so we can be used of the Lord to open the door for the Lord of Glory to come in.  Will He see hearts sold out for Him?  Will He hear a cry released day and night for Him to come?  Will He feel our love and passion as we worship with abandonment?  Will we be one that joins the company that is wanting only ONE THING?

The Lord is continually inviting us to love Him with focused abandonment, to obey His Word and ask Him to reveal to us His destiny for our lives.  So simple.  It is just like our Lord to make it so simple that even a child can enter into the Kingdom and walk with Him.  More knowledge will not accomplish in us what time spent in His presence will do.  Many in the Body of Christ are on this journey of going deep with God, for what else is there in life but to know God and to be known by Him.  Knowing the Lord intimately is not only a spiritual delight, it is our only means of overcoming in the days ahead.  Our prayer for the Church in Saskatchewan is Psalm 91: verse 1-2 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty (Whose power no foe can withstand).   I will say to the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!

Make love your highest aim,

Patricia Fraser
